Lawyers for Employment Discrimination, Retaliation and Harassment
Federal, state, and local laws prohibit employment discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Importantly, the federal laws, which are enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) tend to provide protection only for workers at midsize companies. The state and local laws protect workers at companies with at least 4 employees. In New York, you are protected against sexual harassment even if you are your employer’s only employee.
Damages
As an associate on your case, Ms. George will fight for your right to damages from your employer. These may include both compensatory and punitive damages, depending on the severity of the employer’s discrimination, retaliation or harassment.
