I called this firm for a free consultation. It turns out that they do not take cases that are based on data gathering, statistical analysis to identify disparate impact, etc. However, although I wish they were more direct in their words, they essentially stated that this type of case does not work for their business model. Reflecting upon this made me realize that I likely need to find a small boutique lawyer or firm that is not paid on contingency. I am mainly giving a positive review because this advice is putting me on a better path to finding the right lawyer to partner with. I only subtracted 1 star because I would have preferred for them to more directly state the above. I may have come up with better questions during that conversation vs. having to reflect on it and come to this conclusion days later. However, I get that some people are very sensitive and may not react well to a direct or blunt reply, and that it may be hard to gauge that on a first phone call. For anyone who is upset that they did not take your case, I would advise to listen to their feedback carefully, as perhaps you are missing something important that could point you to a better path.
