About
Sara Callow is an Associate Attorney with Phillips & Associates. She brings a focused background in workplace discrimination matters and a genuine dedication to advocating for employees who have been treated unlawfully. She has experience in all aspects of litigation, including settlement negotiations, mediation, motion practice, discovery, and trial.
Sara’s legal education began at Stockton University, where she earned a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-law. During her undergraduate studies, Sara was selected to participate in her school’s Washington, D.C. Internship Program, interning with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. During her internship, Sara learned extensively about the federal statutes governing employment discrimination claims.
After her graduation from Stockton, Sara attended Rutgers Law School, where she received her J.D. in 2022. Throughout law school, Sara sought and obtained internships in employment discrimination, notably finding her way back to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by clerking for the Honorable Iris Santiago-Flores in 2021. During her studies, Sara was also a member of Rutgers’ Employment and Labor Law Association and served as President of the association from 2021 until graduation.
Following law school, Sara was selected for a position with Rutgers Law Associates, a general practice fellowship, where she gained experience across family law, criminal law, domestic violence, wills and estates, and landlord/tenant matters. A highlight of her fellowship was successfully trying an international child abduction case under the Hague Convention, resulting in the child’s return to their home country.
Sara understands that behind every case is a person who showed up to work, did their job, and deserved better. She handles each matter with empathy, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to achieving meaningful results for her clients.
