Nicollette Haines is an Associate Attorney at Phillips & Associates, PLLC, focusing her practice on employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour violations. She represents employees across New York who have experienced unlawful treatment in the workplace, advocating for their rights under city, state and federal laws, including the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL), New York State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Before joining Phillips & Associates, Ms. Haines practiced employment law in New York City and Chicago where she counseled clients on complex workplace disputes and represented them in state and federal court proceedings, administrative hearings and mediations, gaining invaluable experience for over five years. Through her legal practice, Ms. Haines’ relentless advocacy for her clients has not only secured strong settlements and favorable judgments across multiple jurisdictions, she also strives for consistent client satisfaction so that clients feel heard, supported and informed throughout the process.
Ms. Haines is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Haines earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and received her Bachelor of Arts from Dominican University, graduating cum laude with triple majors in Criminology, Sociology and Corporate Communications.
