Emily Wilson is a Litigation Paralegal at Phillips & Associates, where she provides support to a team of attorneys who litigate employment discrimination, sexual harassment and whistleblower cases. Before joining the firm, Emily spent four years working as a Discovery Paralegal for a plaintiff-side employment law firm in Maryland. She spent much of her time there supporting employment discrimination and wage and hour cases in litigation. Specifically, she assisted in achieving a jury trial verdict of a combined $70,000 in unpaid minimum and overtime wages for two janitorial employees, who were misclassified as independent contractors. During her time there, Emily also created models for damage calculations and analyzing case-related data.
Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with dual minors in Economics and Arabic. During her studies, Emily spent time in the Sociology Department working to develop statistical models to analyze economic development in Southeast Asia and represented the department as an Undergraduate Research Ambassador.
