Shavani Naidu represents employees in a broad range of workplace matters, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower protections, and other violations of federal, state, and local employment laws.
Prior to joining Phillips & Associates, PLLC, Shavani gained significant experience representing both public and private sector employees in employment-related matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings and New York State Division of Human Rights.
As a global citizen who has lived in South Africa, Singapore, the United Kingdom and United States, Shavani brings an international perspective and a longstanding commitment to advocacy and public service. Before practicing law in the United States, Shavani worked for an international human rights organization Project Expedite Justice representing victims of human trafficking, sexual abuse, genocide and war crimes in Cambodia and Ethiopia.
Shavani earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bristol and her Legal Practice Course with a Master of Laws from BPP University in the United Kingdom.
Shavani is admitted to practice in New York.
